allrecipes.com has great recipes

Odds --- 14 years ago -

I agree that allrecipes.com is great. The only cookbook I use in my house is a very old Betty Crocker one that my grandmother gave to my mother the year I was born, LOL. The recipes in that book are better than any I've found in others. Sorry I'm not much help, but that website that Darlene mentioned should give you some pretty good ideas.

lol, I got the Betty Crocker one when we got married. Honestly, there are so many recipes available online that I rarely use my tons of cookbooks anymore.

Odds --- 14 years ago -

I have the newer Betty Crocker books, but I don't use them at all. None of the recipes are the same.

Me,Myself, and I --- 14 years ago -

I love the Joy of Cooking. Its my bible really. I use it for everything. Since I know what I'm doing in the kitchen, I adjust the recipes for what I have on hand.

I have quite a few cook books but to be honest, I never open them. I use allrecipes.com most of the time.

I love allrecipes.com also, but the Campbells website and Food network website have great ideas as well :)

Betty Crocker makes a cookbook specifically for couples, that way you cook for 2 and not over that. However, allrecipes.com and cooks.com saves you so much money. They are both free and all you have to do is type in an ingredient to get a multitude of recipes.

I have a ton of cookbooks from years past but rely on the internet these days and rarely open up the books I have. I Enjoy reading the reviews from others online. You can Google and find about anything you want. As stated above I like allrecipies.com. Many of the free online cookbooks allow you to save the ones you enjoy to their favorites. Rachel Ray has several great cookbooks on the market. Betty Crocker, Pillsbury, Joy of Cooking................... If you really want to buy a cookbook check it out at the library first to make sure you are getting a useful book for your taste. If you have never cooked before they have some good cooking videos at the library, TV cooking channel or try youtube.

i have the best cookbooks known to man!
1. the new hotdog cookbook
American cuisine has a very bad reputation, and it is this kind of cookbook which perpetuates it. 250 'new and exciting' uses for the humble frankfurter - apparently a 'foolproof way to family mealtime magic'. Some examples:Hot Dog Loaf (versions 1 - 4); Hot Dog-ghetti Dinner; Peanut Rollups (white bread, peanut butter and 6 hot dogs, cut horizontally); Brussel SProuts and Hot Dogs

2. annie ross says come on in! she was a jazz singer, ignore the picture of her holding the wine glass please.

3. manifold destiny- teaches ya how to cook on your car

4. some amish cookbook i got at the walmart

5. cooking in the nude..well name says it all, couldnt pass up not buying this gem!

6. wookie cookies -a star wars cookbook

I love the Better Home and Garden Cookbooks! A lot of the recipes are common favorites. The book also provides pictures. I prefer the cookbooks with pics, I like to know what it's supposed to look like.

Now if you want to try more interesting recipes, Jamie Oliver has some great cookbooks...
