I am a first time Army wife moving to Fort Campbell. My husband is there now doing prossing. We were going to get a apartment but my husband was told there were no waiting to move in and we got a house on base. I have been doing a lot of reading about army life. I am hoping to get some helpful tips on moving (all my things in the Army's hands) and I am a little worried.

Everything may seem a little overwhelming at first but once you get in the groove and figure out the way things work you'll find that things aren't bad at all. There is a wide range of programs in place to help you out or advise you in most aspects of Army life. If you've got questions its easy to get answers once you figure out where to ask. Meet people, make friends, learn how use your resources, and life can be good.

As far as your stuff being shipped, I wouldn't worry too much. You can oversee the packing and unpacking and if it gets damaged you can file a claim. Its a simple process.

Throw that one out the window! Your take on your new surroundings will vary per person lol. Just keep your head up and don't let those "omg I'm going to die bc my husband deployed and mowing the yard is hard" wives hold you down. as far as moving goes, Gary is right on that ball.
