Couple questions here!!
Has anyone donated around here?? Where do they offer compensation, and any other info you can give??
And being in the military, my husband along with everyone else have been vaccinated from anthrax.
He knows that the average person can donate plasma and be compensated about $20-$60 per donation.
He has heard that someone with the anthrax vaccine can receive a LOT MORE $ per donation.
Has anyone else heard of this? He has found a few websites that seek those with the anthrax vaccine and say that donors will be compensated, but they don't say how much.
go over to the ghetto youll find the place to donate plasma for gas money and the sperm clinic.
my god you really are a waste of good bones and organs.
My husband has done it before. It is $20 for your first donation. I am not sure about the extra compensation for anthrax, but he is in the army also and has never been compensated more.
Thanks Heather!
I actually found information on Anthrax.mil
about the information on a special project w/anthrax and plasma donating being conducted, but according to that it's only in a couple of states and nowhere near here, Oh well! So you can check that out!
Thanks tho, that helps a lot :)
yeah i thought that donating blood/plasma was just a good thing to do--i didnt realize that it was now for the greedy people always lookin to make a buck..
eah i thought that donating blood/plasma was just a good thing to do--i didnt realize that it was now for the greedy people always lookin to make a buck..
Donating blood or plasma for a buck is no different than selling sh!t on Ebay or CYS.... who cares if they get paid to sell what BELONGS TO THEM.... many military families have good months and bad months and donating something that DOES help other people and then getting paid for it really is not a big deal...
Not saying it's for greedy people, it's pretty much all drunks and druggies have. I'd rather cut back on expenses before I sit in a room with those people.
Guess I just have a line that I draw when it comes to what I would and wouldn't do for money.
And EBAY?? Come on, everyone has blood and plasma...not everyone has a metal "Thundercats" lunch box!
yaeh but half the people that do it just for the money wouldnt actually be willing to help someone with bone marrow or something similar if they were found to be a match. thats what i meant by saying that people are just greedy...if you need the money w/e but its still kinda shytty that most people wouldnt donate just for the good of it--when im not preggo i donate blood just cause its a good thing to do. not because i might get reimbursed--but yeah--military pay does suck so i guess do whatever blows your skirt up to make extra money

So true so true....
(why you got one for sale?... just sayin') ;)
I do it because it is the right thing to do. I do it twice a week and throw my donation money in a jar and just save up to buy myself something nice or for a rainy day or an emergency. I dont do it because I need the money I just do it because it is the right thing to do. I would also donate bone marrow or anything like that if there was someone I knew of who really needed. I also donate blood when their are blood drives because I am not sure where the Red Cross is here
I'm O-, the "Universal Donor", and I use to always donate to the Red Cross, up until I did a "direct donation" for my Aunt's sister that was going to need a transfusion while giving birth to her son.
They casually LOST the blood I donated. So, at that point, I saw them as corrupt and I no longer donate through them anymore.
It's not a donation, it's a business transaction. Money is being given because of services/products rendered. There is NOT donation in any part of the process.
I donated in school to get out of class. I would get out for almost half a day and sometimes a full day because I wouldnt eat before I went and then would say I was lite headed and sat in the gym the rest of the day. I have donated since but not to often. When my son was born I donated for that cause he had open heart surgery and needed to have blood for it. So I opt to have mine and family vs some one I didnt know.
I would donate blood again if needed paid or not but it i really needed the money I would do it for the money. I dont care what people think about it. I dont have my money in line or what but sometimes you have things pop and need alittle help. The pay sucks and I just got turned down for help which I can believe we make to much. I dont see doing it for the money a problem. Cause alot of people do it for the money if they didnt they wouldnt give money for doing it. Would rather have someone get money for it and when needed they have it on hand then no one ever give and when needed they dont have it.
