ok, has anyone been paying attention to the pet situation on post? some people just shouldnt own pets.......

lol, well i dont know if you are being a smartass calypso, or what, but do you know that last year alone there were 1600 animals turned into the stray facility? thats nearly 4 cats/dogs per day, and over 900 of those were euthanized because they couldnt locate the owners.

No I didn't know, nor do I care. My baby is inside safe and sound, I've done my part for Fort Campbell/Clarksville to clean up their stray animals.

The only reason the animals are being killed, is because the owners didn't simply lose their animals, they tossed them away. Animals are disposable to humans.

Fix human stupidity, save animals. =)

well curb it does help but only about 6% of the abandoned pets from the shelter get adopted, only 12% get returned to the owners, and roughly 40% are abandoned pets who ppl leave in the quarters when they move out, or let loose on post, the 42% includes, ferrel or untamed cats, kittens that are found in motorpools, parks, recreational areas and the kittens/puppies that are born in the pound and may or may not die before they are adopted 

Well sadly that's a part of life. You can't help every animal out there. 

no but, i can save more by reaching as many people as possible. seems everyone has the same reasoning, "its part of life" im sorry that i care about things like this, did you know 3 out of 5 times in a home where animal neglect is present, there is also some sort of child abuse, neglect or at least some issue that would raise alarm with cps? 

but thats all im saying, just wanted to raise some awareness, im out now. i may see some of ya'll around, **wink**

well i thought you had to be a drama queen to live on post, i tried to get post housing and they asked if i'd ever called the cops on my neighbors, i said no, then they said i didnt qualify for post housing and i had to live off post, lol

I'm sure you realize this situation has been brought up many times before. We all know that people are dipshits that don't want to be responsible for their animals, but what can you do about it? I'm not about to go broke trying to take care of a shitload of disgusting animals.
