THIS IS A CHILD ABDUCTION EMERGENCY RECEIVED BY THE TENNESSEE BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION MORGAN LEIGH HEATH WAS LAST SEEN BY HER MOTHER AT HER RESIDENCE AT 720 AM THIS MORNING. A MESSAGE WAS RECEIVED BY LAW ENFORCEMENT THAT THE CHILD WAS BEING HELD UNDER DURESS. MORGAN IS A 13 YEAR OLD WHITE FEMALE WITH GREEN EYES AND BROWN HAIR. SHE IS 5 FEET 5 INCHES TALL AND WEIGHS 130 POUNDS. SHE WAS LAST SEEN WEARING A WHITE TANK TOP AND BLACK SHORTS.

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. -- A Hendersonville teenager was found safe Friday night, less than three hours after authorities issued an Amber Alert for her return. Police said 13-year-old Morgan Leigh Heath's mother had not seen her since Friday morning. Police received some kind of message that Heath was being held against her will so authorities issued an Amber Alert. The alert was canceled at around 9 p.m. Friday night. Hendersonville police did not offer additional details about what happened.

(AP) — Authorities say two Hendersonville teenagers face charges after a false Amber Alert was issued for a 13-year-old girl who was reported missing. Morgan Leigh Heath was reported missing by her guardian Friday evening after she hadn't been seen since 7:20 that morning. Authorities say her guardian began receiving text messages from the girl's phone saying she had been kidnapped and was under duress. The Hendersonville Police Department contacted the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the alert was issued around 6:30 p.m. Authorities say Heath and her 15-year-old boyfriend were found with the phone in a local park about two hours later. Both have been charged with criminal responsibility for filing a false report and telephone harassment.
