That's insane. What's worse is the reality TV shows. They have 18 kids, and 5 bedrooms?! Kids sleeping on the floor?! Talk about the world being over populated. She wants two more, those babies have to just fall out of her. Here's a solution... stop having sex... another one...get a dog! I can't believe Children and Family Services are not all over them for stuffing that many kids in one bedroom, I have seen them take kids for lesser reasons. I am still trying to figure out how running a tree service supports 20 people... I must be in the wrong business here. I guess it's to each their own, but come on, there has to be some line along the way somewhere. One thing I have noticed with large families like that though, is how well behaved their kids are. Perhaps it's because they don't have time to act like kids, seeing they are raising each other. Camera's throughout the house... can you say creepy?!

I didn't see any kids sleeping on the floor. Each room had bunkbeds and/or trundles. There's nothing cruel about it. Every child has a place to sleep

When did making children share rooms become against the law? They don't all sleep i one room. They're split up into multiple rooms and the rooms are huge

They only had cameras in the outdoor and living areas. Its not like the bathrooms are rigged

Look at the video again, they were on the floor. Yes I understand there were no camera's in the bathrooms lol, I just would not want to grow up with my parents watching my every move! They stated some college age kids lived there still. I don't know, just my take on things. Last I knew, my friend has four kids, and she was informed that it could only be two kids per bedroom, and there was a limit on how many years they could be apart to share the same room. Might be a state law? I still think 18 kids and 5 bedrooms is lacking, and if you break it down its 18 kids in 4 bedrooms because the parents have a room... and with a plan to have two more? Maybe they will move. Great income for Walmart though :) I still say camera's watching your every move is creepy, I would make the bathroom my bedroom :p

Just sounds like post regulations for how many rooms you qualify for

I must've missed the part where they showed kids sleeping in the floor, again. I'm not seeing it

There is nothing wrong with the way they are living..

There’s no law in existence which governs children of different sexes sharing rooms in privately owned homes. It’s up to the home owners / parents to sort out bedrooms and sleeping areas and make sure all children are well catered for in terms of sleeping arrangements. Many children share bedrooms with their siblings and step- brothers and sisters and don’t experience any problems (bar the occasional fall-out, as is normal with children!). If there was a law in place, it could be very difficult for people who are unable to buy a bigger home due to lack of money.

However, if the house is rented and owned by a housing association, sometimes they do have rules and regulations in place concerned with how many children, and which sex of children, can sleep in any one bedroom. For example, they may state that after the age of 10, different sexes of siblings shouldn’t share a room

Some times when fostering or adopting children there are regulations on how many children are allotted into each room as well as children of different genders sharing a room. Ive also heard of there being a certain amount of square footage per child. I believe this is to ensure the foster parents and those children dont get overcrowded... Im sure it varies from state to state.

However, I dont believe Ive ever heard of such rules with ones own children unless youre living on post or youre renting your home or apartment.
