I come here about once or twice a week but there's usually not anything to comment on. I'll comment on this, though:
If it makes you feel better I found out exactly one week after my divorce finalized that I was pregnant. Touche life, touche!! hahaha
Wow. That sucks and I am so sorry for the rotten timing of it but also wanted to say congratulations on having another one. When are you due?
I don't have the time to come here much anymore. (Right now, for example, I'm getting ready to start on another project for a client but I'm being lazy and taking a little break and thought I'd come and see what's going on around here.) I've been working full-time for about six months now and between that and the kids and squeezing in some family time as much as possible, the internet's taken a back burner. I work from home, though, which does make it a lot easier in so many ways. (No childcare, no gas expense from driving, I set my own schedule...I can even work in PJ's and unbrushed hair if I feel like it, LOL!)
Anyway, just thought I'd throw in that it would be nice to see some more interesting topics on this site from time to time. It's been dead for a while now.
Still undecided. I'm in the process of switching to a different doctor. The last one sucked. I'm pretty sure they didn't properly measure the baby properly during their 3 second ultrasound. Heck, I didn't even get to see it. Hooray for falling into that .3% that birth control isn't effective lol
Do you live in Hopkinsville or Clarksville now? I went to OBGYN Associates in Hopkinsville for my youngest. Doctor Stitt was pretty good, I really liked him. Just a suggestion if you were looking for ideas lol.
I actually got pregnant with one of my daughters while on the BC pill...I'm all done now, though, forever. It does happen, and I'm pretty sure the actual numbers are higher than .3% haha.
I made my new appt with Premier Medical. We'll see how it goes lol. I'm trying to figure out how in the heck to save up enough money to move back home. apparently this whole living from paycheck to paycheck provides low savings benefits. who would've thought? lol
I was sitting here thinking about anything "new" going on that I could report...the only things that have really happened are I've started working as I mentioned above because our youngest is almost school-aged (I only planned on staying home until she was past the infant/toddler phase) and three months ago, my husband and I quit smoking (which was a major deal for us! LOL)...surprisingly, I'm not homicidal after quitting, LOL. OH! And we got a new puppy last week - a little yellow lab and he's perfect. So now we're a 2-dog family (we also have a Shih Tzu). About the only other thing is that I learned how to shoot a gun! I'd never even held one before but now I have my own .40cal and we go the ranges a couple of times a month and practice. My husband wanted me to have a gun for protection since we live in BFE but he said I had to learn how to use it and practice. I was pretty proud of myself, haha.
That's all I've got for now. Maybe in another six months, I'll have more to report on - life doesn't really change for us, we're comfortable in our normal day-to-day life and other than day trips and kid stuff, I never really have "exciting mind-blowing" news to report on, LOL.
I know, labs are notorious for chewing and being rambunctious and all that good stuff...but I've "puppy proofed" the house and so far, so good...except for the bag of potatoes he somehow took, hid and then mauled...that was really the only incident we've had so far, LOL. My fault for not putting them away faster when we went grocery shopping, I guess.
And on the 2nd part, gotta love the douchebags that are incapable of understanding the meaning of "50/50 responsibility". Sorry that you got one of those but at least he pays something - better than absolutely nothing like my ex, haha.
Speaking of being Army...has anyone around here been affected by the cutbacks? I know that my MIL/FIL are Navy and they were worried that his PTS wouldn't be approved but it finally was last week - much later than in the past and almost down to the wire time-wise. My brother is having the issue, too, with re-enlisting. He said that his MOS is an "over-capacity" or whatever they call it so he basically has to reclass and they're being a pain in the a-ss (stupid UG and your "clean up your language, buddy" messages!) about the options he can choose. (Although they ARE allowing him to reclass. I guess a few of the guys in his unit aren't being allowed to re-enlist at all but I honestly don't undersatnd a lot of it. I'm pretty ignorant to the Army ways lol) A few of his friends are in the same boat right now, too...just thought I'd see if it's happening with anyone else?
I know! My brother is being allowed to but they're telling him he has to choose the "General Army" option which basically means he has to be at their mercy and put in whatever MOS they decide to throw him into. I mean, he's luckier than some, granted, but still, that option sucks!
My husband is one of the ones affected by that crap :( he'll be 15yrs in in august and has to get out the end of august...its bs if u ask me but thats the way of it.
Jess you shouldnt punch her, just drive down providence and get the crazy dude there for $10 to do it lol
Oddss got a GUN? I personally think that's awesome. If you live in Kentucky and ever want to do your concealed carry class at the CU price just give me a shout.
Jess, hang in there. It may take some time and tears but you'll get through it.
Yes, Gary, I got my own Glock 22 .40cal. It's pretty nice and I'm really loving it right now, lol. The concealed course here in Trigg County isn't far from where I live. I've thought about taking it, actually.
Gary, if you ever come to the ranges out here, let me know - we'll go shoot and you can see how awesome I'm getting (that was only slightly sarcastic, LOL! I'm actually not bad for a beginner, I promise!)
I shoot most weekends, its my thang. As far as awesome, I have no reason to doubt it. I've found that women can make great shooters. you gals seem to listen better and not have the "macho" thing to overcome. You shoot at the LBL range?
Seriously, if you ever want to do the CCDW course I can do it.
Yes, we go to the LBL range...it's literally like five minutes from our house so it's the easiest place to go. I've met some really interesting people out there - a lot of the people out there have offered to let me shoot their guns, too, which is pretty cool. I got pointers from a guy that does competition, another let me shoot his AK-47, things like that and we've gotten to know a few of the "regulars". I'm honestly not great at the rifle range but I do all right on the pistol side. I really like that range because you don't get a bunch of idiots out there, people are generally respectful and most days, it's quiet. :)
