I love Miniature Schnauzers (had one growing up) and Border Collies, ever seen Babe?

JMunderscore --- 14 years ago -

I am a dog lover :) My favorites are German Shepherds, Miniature Pinschers, Yorkies, Labs, and Weimaraners. I love the protection my GS provides plus she is the most gentle dog when it comes to our kids. My Min Pins are just so sweet, yet they think they are attack dogs which is hilarious and offers lots of laughs. They can sense when you are upset and always love up on you. Yorkies, I have never owned but have been around a lot and will get one in the future. My family pet was a Lab and Weimaraners because they are like Labs and so beautiful.

Darlene (Mod) --- 14 years ago -

I forgot Great Danes too. I love the gentle mini horses.

Darlene (Mod) --- 14 years ago -

Anyone wanna make a bet on what breed Vanessa will choose?

JMunderscore --- 14 years ago -

I love great danes, bassets, labs, and weimaraners. I like german shepherds but I can't do shepherds of any kind. Their pacing and fence running annoys me. Especially when I take my dogs on walks lol

Kara --- 14 years ago -

Worse kind I think are Jack Russels. They just love to dig and chew, don't they?

You should see my fence line. I don't think I have seen grass along the fence line since we bought this house. My baby is getting old and has arthritis, so I should be seeing grass soon. I have to force her to go out to potty now :(

Sounds like labs when they are puppies lol.

Mt dane ate my deck and a door frame while teething!

Our lab we had years ago ate the stairs to our deck and a whole softball lol. She almost died from the softball because she couldn't go poo.

JMunderscore --- 14 years ago -

Our lab did some chewing but nothing as bad as our dane. She will eat anything. She's like the worlds largest goat.

Odds --- 14 years ago -

I love almost all dogs, but if I had to choose favorites, I'd say Shih Tzu, English Mastiffs, Golden Retrievers and German Shepherds.

Darlene (Mod) --- 14 years ago -

Has your Dane had any medical problems? I heard they can get really expensive due to medical issues.

She'll be 3 next month. So far she's stepped in a hole and dislocated her hip. Did that one when she was a puppy. She also has a disc in her spine that you can feel when you run your hand down her back. We think she was running and bumped into the tree. The vet said it isn't unusual for an animal her size. She likes to try to do circles around them, probably bc she's stupid. So far, nothing too bad but bc of her size her joints are more prone to issues. They were afraid when she dislocated her hip that that would be it for her since she's such a big animal. Otherwise she's been stupid and healthy

JMunderscore --- 14 years ago -

They're just expensive overall for upkeep. The eats 3 times as much as our lab and requires 12 months worth of heartworm meds for 6 months

Darlene (Mod) --- 14 years ago -

lol I love how silly they are. I have wanted one for so many years, but I know that as of now, I am not ready to own one. How is your Basset Hound? I remember you talking about heart worms?

JMunderscore --- 14 years ago -

He's done with his treatment. He goes back next month to see if he's still positive. We think he had them for a while before we got him. the damage to his lungs is already done and irreversable. I don't know if your dog ever got the symptom of that horrible dry cough where it can't breathe but he has it pretty bad. If he's not negative I don't know what we're going to do. I don't think he'll survive another round of treatment. He was in bad shape when we got him. He had been attacked by the previous owners other dog and had huge holes in his ears. Its just sad. He's a fantastic dog. Loves my daughter to death

It takes a huge commitment. The poor things are so retarded that its funny. I love when she tries to sit on the couch like I won't notice. Total attention hog though. Roxy can tell you. Sadie is ALWAYS up my butt. She will literally wrap her entire body around me

Darlene (Mod) --- 14 years ago -

That is so sad. Mine never had any symptoms when she tested positive. We just went in for our yearly test and she was positive. She almost died during her treatment. She came home and was fine, but I had to take her back for another shot after the treatment and she had an allergic reaction to it. She has tested negative every year since then. I think she did her treatment in 2008.

JMunderscore --- 14 years ago -

He's such a great dog, then again I think all my dogs are great. Its probably bc they sleep 3/4 of the day lol. Well except my lab, she's creepy. She'll pop out from nowhere and just stare at me

Pitbulls and Border Collies!! I looooove them!!

**Ginger** --- 14 years ago -

German Shepherds and Border Collies. These two breeds are so smart and train quickly.

Sylvia's Mother Said: --- 14 years ago -

I LOVE English Bulldogs. Actually, they are just called Bulldogs. But I just can't resist a "smoosh" face. Same with pugs, pekes, and other short snoot breeds. I just find them adorable.

Livys Momma --- 14 years ago -

I love my pit!! But I also love labs huskies and blue heelers!

larkyn --- 14 years ago -

well i must say mine is now the Golden Retriever! why?! because it took me 1 day to teach him how to walk on a leash.. 4 days to house train him, and he knew his name in less than 24 hours. He is a wonderful puppy and we are tickled pink with him!

Kristi --- 14 years ago -

But I couldn't imagine life w/out my boxer and my catahoula/blue heeler mix!! They are the best doggies ever!!

Kara --- 14 years ago -

I think the perfect dog is a Schnauzer. Mine loved barking at the squirrels running up the trees.

Pureawesoness --- 14 years ago -

Boxers ! I looooove my babies, they arent allways the smartests but are great family companions and are just loving cuddlers
